OUR TIMELINE

1955
When It All Started…
Border Paving Ltd. was incorporated in Alberta in 1955, the first of a number of subsidiaries of Asphalt Services Ltd., located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

1957
Our New Headquarters
Our Red Deer headquarters evolved from a 130 square foot skid shack in 1957 to a more palatial 300 square foot portable office which served as company headquarters from 1959 to 1965.
1967
Additional Plant and Capabilities
In 1967 the company expanded to include a new 40-ton per hour portable plant to complement our initial 12-ton per hour portable plant, and the 80 ton per hour stationary asphalt plant which was set up in Red Deer in 1965.

1974
One Partnership Ends…Independence Begins
By 1974 the ownership association with Asphalt Services Ltd., had ended leaving us with experience and financial capability gained over the years.
1975
New Location: Camrose
A stationary plant was installed in Camrose. It now offers full service capabilities, has a nearby fully operational maintenance and heavy duty work shop and has a fully staffed office to assist with operations.

1978
New Location: Hinton
Another stationary plant was installed in Hinton. With a small office to assist in operations, more north-western parts of Alberta could now be serviced.
1986
New Location: Stony Plain
A fourth stationary plant that also now has an office was installed just outside of Stony Plain. There is also now a secondary sales yard with in Stony Plain and plans for expansion are in the mix.
